Senior Software Engineer

Job Description We are looking for a self motivated individual to help move forward the next generation public safety experience, and to work with a team of top experienced professionals to enable mission critical services and solutions.In this position you will work as a senior software engineer within a scrum team that is responsible for designing, implementing and testing solutions for a variety of landmobile wireless communications products.
This role is expected to help technically lead the team in full lifecycle development using agile development methodologies.
Your tasks will also involve hands-on interaction with product hardware and lab equipment for development, testing, and debugging.Basic RequirementsBachelors (BS) or Master's (MS) degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer ScienceWorking experience with C/C++ and object oriented development Working experience with Linux and/or UnixAdvanced debugging skillsDesired Skills:Basic understanding of virtualization technologies such as Docker, Podman etc.Experience with PythonExposure to Agile development practicesExperience with Git, JiraExcellent organizational skillsAbility to work with and debug legacy codeStrong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skillsAbility to work well in a cross-functional team environment.Understanding of real time processing in an embedded environmentNote: This position requires the employee to work from office initially for a period of time and hybrid (work from office 2-3 days per week or as required by the business) afterwards.Travel RequirementsNoneRelocation ProvidedNonePosition TypeExperiencedReferral Payment PlanYesCompanyMotorola Solutions Ireland LimitedEEO StatementMotorola Solutions is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
