Title and Summary Senior Software Engineer Overview
Role Design & develop a world-class ecommerce platform Innovate new technologies in the payments space Contribute on a daily basis to the design and development of the platform Work with stakeholders (both internally and externally) to define business requirements and assist in the prioritization of tasks for the development team Mentor junior members of the team Contribute to architectural discussions and work across other products to ensure alignment with the rest of the product suite All About You Required Skills Proven experience in developing world-class solutions on a global scale Working in an agile environment Working in a continuous delivery TDD environment Backend Java developer with proven experience building enterprise web applications The ability to write clean, well-structured, performant, maintainable code An aptitude for and interest in programming (and software development in general) Desirable Skills Java EE frameworks/technologies such as Spring, Hibernate, JUnit, JBehave, GWT Web Services - RESTful APIs with JSON, SOAP with XML Knowledge of operating in *nix environments Working with databases including Oracle Experience in implementing an automated UI testing framework Corporate Security Responsibility All activities involving access to Mastercard assets, information, and networks come with an inherent risk to the organization and, therefore, it is expected that every person working for, or on behalf of, Mastercard is responsible for information security and must:
