Qualifications7+ years of software development experience building large scale applications.3+ years of people management: technical leadership and mentorship, personal development, team building, recruiting, vision, and roadmap creation.B.Sc./ M.Sc in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent.Lead complex designs, implement with quality and scale, mentor engineers.Expertise in architecture, design, development, and deployment of high scale cloud systems.Experience with large scale operations, using methodologies such as feedback/Metrics collection techniques to expose live site/service issues.Ability to deal with the ambiguity associated with working in a fast-paced and changing environment.Additional or Preferred Qualifications: 6+ years of Linux hands-on system experiences.6+ years of Software Engineering and experience in testing, deploying and supporting large scale services on Azure/AWS/GCP environments.Kubernetes, Prometheus, Cilium/ISTIO or any equivalent.ResponsibilitiesAs an Engineering Manager in CIENG group, you will lead an infrastructure software engineering team collaboratively designing, building, and maintaining tools that ensure seamless and efficient operations for the organizations which accelerate the developer experience.Mentor and inspire a diverse team of software engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.Provide technical guidance and expertise to the team, leading by example, assisting with architectural decisions, code reviews, and problem solving.Lead end-to-end design, implementation and delivery of services and features, following industry best practices, adhering to very high security standards.Engage in and improve end-to-end lifecycle of services from inception and design, through deployment, operation, and refinement.Collaborate closely with multiple teams across Microsoft to deliver key customer solutions and the technology to support them.BenefitsIndustry leading healthcareEducational resourcesDiscounts on products and servicesSavings and investmentsMaternity and paternity leaveGenerous time awayGiving programsOpportunities to network and connectMicrosoft is an equal opportunity employer.
