ResponsibilitiesAs a Senior Software Engineer (Security Team), you will be instrumental in the development and enhancement of diverse applications that support MongoDB's Security Team.
Your focus will be on creating web applications and dashboards, tailored for the Security Team organization with a particular focus on automation and asset inventory management.
Your responsibilities will encompass the entire development lifecycle, including design, testing, and deployment, utilizing a wide range of technologies, with a special emphasis on modern web technologies like React, Typescript, and Node.js.
This role can be based out of our Dublin office or remotely in the Ireland region.
Candidate ProfileThe qualified candidate for this role should possess the following qualifications:
Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and writtenAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changes seamlesslyOver 8 years of hands-on experience in building scalable and modern web applicationsOver 2 years of hands-on experience building scalable and modern web applications using the MERN stack with TypescriptDemonstrable expertise with Node.js and an API framework (Express, Next.js, Fastify, etc.
)Thorough understanding of data structures, data modelling, and database schemaGood working knowledge of key software architecture conceptsSolid understanding of SDLC and CI/CD pipelines and mechanismsDemonstrable experience applying security best practices such as principles of least privilege and defense-in-depthGood working knowledge of software testing practicesHands-on experience with unit testing (Cypress, Jest, Playwright, etc.
