Job DescriptionYou will lead, mentor, and manage a diverse software engineering department, ensuring seamless collaboration and flawless delivery of mission-critical solutions. Your responsibilities will include:
Contributing to the strategic vision of the department by aligning technical strategies with organizational goals and creating the department's roadmap.Staying up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and processes in software engineering, promoting knowledge sharing and best practices.Effectively communicating technical strategies, project updates, and deliverables to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Recruiting and assembling a team of highly skilled engineers within the organization.Providing mentorship and promoting professional development for team members.Collaborating closely with key stakeholders across various geographic locations to advance the objectives of the RF Site organization and ensure timely delivery of high-quality software solutions.Building a culture of continuous improvement to drive quality, efficiency, and productivity.Leading and fostering a culture of innovation, and initiating activities such as IP Sprees and hackathons within the organization.Overseeing the analysis, design, development, and maintenance of software for the organization's products and systems.Leading and managing every phase of product development, including defining requirements, design, implementation, and testing.Supervising both the management of engineering and the projection of software for the products.Basic RequirementsBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Software Engineering.Significant professional experience in leading people and teams.A successful track record of developing high-performing software teams through hiring, retaining, and mentoring team members.Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.Excellent organizational skills.Ability to work well in a cross-functional team environment.Strong understanding of the software development process and toolchain, including development environments, version control, testing, cybersecurity, and Agile development processes.Strong familiarity with C/C++ and object-oriented development.Strong familiarity with Linux and containerized applications.Desired Skills: Understanding of real-time processing in an embedded environment.Basic understanding of virtualization technologies such as Docker or Podman.Experience with Git, Jira, and RHEL (Red Hat Enterprise Linux).Experience managing large software projects.Experience working with large, geographically distributed teams.Familiarity with DevOps concepts and tools.In return for your expertise, we'll support you in this new challenge with coaching & development every step of the way.
