This is how you can make a difference at Abbott:Based at our new Abbott Diabetes Care (ADC) manufacturing facility in Kilkenny, Ireland there is an opportunity for a Senior Systems Engineer to join the expanding Systems Engineering team.The Systems Engineering team, comprising of controls engineers, vision engineers, MES recipe architects, systems engineers and data scientises, supports the on-going development, validation, deployment, and support of control, inspection and data acquisition systems which integrate into our manufacturing operations, enabling ADC to provide innovative state-of-the-art solutions that facilitate the company's Factory 4.0 initiatives.As the Systems Engineer, you will be primarily responsible for software systems employed in the production of our Diabetes sensors which interface with PLCs, SCADA systems and Line Controllers to record data to an Oracle database to build the product quality record.
