How to contribute to our vision We are looking for a Senior Technician to join our team. Someone flexible to work on rotational shifts and to travel as per business requirements.
As a Senior Technician your key role will be to deliver excellent Service, MTBV (Meantime between visits) and First time Fix, while ensuring compliance with Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy (SGRE) internal processes and procedures, UK Legislation, Environment, Health & Safety - EHS and Quality.

Some of your key tasks will include but not be limited to: Active safety leadership when onshore, in the turbine and in the Wind Farm - ensure correct reporting of incidents and accidents, near misses and unsafe acts and conditions.Responsibility for technical and safety documentation production and management.Drive and develop Risk Assessments and Method Statements for work packages/tasks.Develop and deliver technical and safety Toolbox Talks.Be a Technical lead for the management/delivery of technical queries with Service Technology, customer, and field staff.Ensure compliance with customer and contractual obligations whilst executing work packages/tasks.Be responsible for technician competency development and mentoring for SGRE technicians.Maintain efficient timescales for delivery of service activities.What you need to make a difference Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change.Experience working as a technician, ideally within the wind industry.An electrical or mechanical education at level 3 or above (e.g., NVQ 3/City & Guilds/HNC or equivalent) would be preferable, but not essential.Experience working with a large range of contractors and customers.Experience working with MS Office applications and preferably SAP, Monitoring Operations and Registration System (MORS) and remote diagnostic tools.Flexibility to work in shifts at the project location.Able to demonstrate own competency levels as a Technician, Competent Technician, Maintenance Technician and Troubleshoot Technician.This role requires the person to be based on site and live within a commutable distance from Lowestoft.In return of your commitment we offer you… Become a part of our mission for sustainability: Clean energy for generations to come.
