The role is full-time. The holder will be required to work one weekend per month. From time to time, the role holder may also be required to work an additional weekend or evening with notice and will be compensated with time off in lieu.
Key responsibilities: Conducting Kellogg's Skyline and Croke Park Stadium tours for a wide variety of groups and ensuring each visitor enjoys an entertaining, informative, and safe visit.Leading and setting the standard regarding tour content, people management, customer service, and visitor engagement for all tour guides across Croke Park Stadium and Kellogg's Skyline tours.Assisting and overseeing opening and closing procedures. Completing checklists and management of the Front of House as required (including end-of-day cash reconciliation).Responsibility for daily, weekly, and monthly checks of all tour protocols, equipment, and safety procedures.Undertaking research regarding stadium tour commentary and keeping up to date with developments in the GAA & Croke Park.Developing content for the Kellogg's Skyline tour by keeping up to date with events and happenings in Dublin.Leading large groups of visitors, including confidence working at height and leading groups along the Kellogg's Skyline walkway.Previous tour guide and customer service experience.A passion for, and knowledge of, Gaelic Games and the GAA.A keen interest in Irish history, Irish museums, and Irish visitor attractions as well as a passion for Irish culture.Available to work one weekend a month as well as additional weekends/evenings from time to time with notice.Ability to engage with and entertain large and diverse groups of visitors.Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions, in a physically demanding job.Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.Demonstrable initiative and problem-solving skills.Work experience at a museum or visitor attraction.Experience managing large groups of visitors and working in a busy environment.Fluency in Irish.Relevant third-level qualification.Please note the post is subject to garda vetting.
Salary: €32,000 per annum.
