Senior Transport Planner To support our continued growth and expansion into new markets we are looking for an experienced transport planning consultant/advisor with strong consulting skills, a genuine interest in transport and thirst for solving client problems. The role will be based in our Cork Office in One Albert Quay but we are open to applications looking to be based in our Dublin office but willing to visit our Cork office regularly to support the Cork team.
The role will report into an Associate Director on the team and offer the candidate a career path to Associate Director grade and beyond.

Your ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will often need to work as part of multi-disciplinary project teams and add value through the application of good transport planning knowledge. They will have a client-facing role and will be required to manage projects or the transport elements of larger multi-disciplinary projects. In the role you will:
Act as project manager and/or technical lead including liaising with clients and other members of design teams.Be responsible for the delivery of project outcomes for our clients.Manage other staff members, supporting transportation analysis and the preparation of reports.Be involved in bidding/contract/commercial management for individual projects.Contribute as a transport planning specialist to solve complex challenges for clients.Work collaboratively and iteratively within multi-disciplinary design and consultancy teams.Lead junior teams and perform day to day work activities.Represent Arup while engaging directly with clients and their stakeholders in the development of project deliverables where required.Input to thought leadership to promote Arup and develop capabilities.Your Education/ProfileWe welcome all applicants with a keen interest in transport planning and the technical and behavioural ability to deliver for our team. These are the requirements we consider to be essential to the role:
