SEO Manager Job Type: Full-Time, Cork BasedOur sister company SquareFish is currently recruiting for the position of SEO Manager. This is a full-time, permanent position based in County Cork.
About SquareFishSquareFish is a small entrepreneurial company based in Cork. We work with a range of companies, from tech to travel to engineering, acting as full business partners rather than just external suppliers.
About the positionWe're looking for an experienced SEO Manager to lead two projects in particular — PureVolt Solar (solar panel installations) and Engineers with Drones (drone inspections). Prior experience in these industries is not required—our marketing and sales teams are knowledgeable, collaborative, and eager to share their insights.
The main areas you'll be in charge of are SEO and CRO for these projects, with a small PPC aspect as well. You will be directly responsible for the online growth and maintenance of these projects and will collaborate with our web-dev team, reporting directly to our head of SEO.
What we're looking forProven SEO Expertise: A deep understanding of SEO principles, including keyword research, on-page optimization, and technical SEO.Website Analytics: Ability to track the effectiveness of the strategies implemented and overall digital marketing performance.Leadership Skills: Capability to lead projects, mentor, and maximize the output of our web development team.Hands-On Approach: Willingness to implement SEO strategies directly, including writing code and editing websites.Innovative Mindset: A critical thinker who seeks evidence and logic in decision-making and can identify new opportunities and improvements.Skills & experience required5+ Years of SEO Experience: Must include leading at least one SEO project in a competitive field.Technical Skills: Hands-on coding and troubleshooting experience. Training will be provided, but a comfort with coding is essential.Analytical Abilities: Proficient with website analysis tools used for SEO, CRO, and similar tasks, such as Google Analytics.Key responsibilitiesSEO: Create and take full responsibility for the SEO strategy of projects, making data-driven decisions to achieve top rankings in competitive markets.Collaboration & Training: Advise and collaborate with internal teams, sharing SEO best practices and conducting website audits for improvements.Keyword Research & Analytics: Conduct thorough keyword research and engagement tracking to refine content strategy and user experience.Trend Monitoring: Stay updated on industry trends, search engine algorithm changes, and SEO advancements to keep our strategy at the forefront.CRO: Design and implement CRO strategies to increase online engagement and conversion.PPC: A small aspect only; no experience is required, as long as you have an inquisitive mindset and a drive to learn.Hands-On Website Optimization: Use coding skills to address technical SEO challenges, collaborating with our web development team as needed.Salary, hours & locationBased in: Office in Marina Commercial Park, Cork City. Once fully up to speed, a hybrid model is possible, though a minimum of 50% of time must be spent in the office long-term.Start date: Flexible, to suit you.Working Hours: Flexible. Most hours should overlap with the rest of the team, but remaining hours can be adjusted to suit individual schedules.Why such a broad salary range?We can adjust this role and salary to suit your experience and work ambitions. The job role described above is our minimum requirement, and fulfilling those would warrant something at the lower end of the scale.
