Your role and responsibilitiesIn this role, you will provide planned maintenance service to existing analyser customers as part of Service Agreements or ad-hoc corrective maintenance as required. The successful candidate will also support the business to increase sales and service of ABB Analyser Products, offer solutions, and services, specifically in Continuous Gas Analytics (CGA). The successful candidate will be expected to plan the work and work alone to carry out day to day technical activities and strengthen the Analytical Products visibility of ABB in the market.
The work model for the role is: Onsite with travel across all of Ireland.
This role is contributing to the Process Automation, Energy Industries business in the Cork, Ireland business. Main stakeholders are Customer, ABB Management and Sales.
You will be mainly accountable for:
Working with the customer (while on-site) to identify opportunities to improve the customer's operations and eliminate pain points.Performing field service tasks, identifying technical issues, and performing analysis through remote or on-site activity in service categories and products.Preparing material lists needed for service activity and ensuring that all materials, parts, and equipment are available and of appropriate quality for service activities.Troubleshooting equipment/process failures, requesting proactive corrective actions, and making recommendations to avoid such issues in the future.Safety First, working with thorough safety plan and Risk Assessment & Method Statements.Offer customers support with existing Installations.Calibration of Instrumentation, Pressure, Temperature, Flow.Support the Sales team to evaluate and confirm technical solutions.Qualifications for the roleTime served electrical/instrumentation qualification.Detailed knowledge of Installation, Commissioning.Valid driving license in Ireland.Detailed Knowledge of Continuous Gas Analysers would be an advantage.Excellent time management and organisation skills.P.C. literacy in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.Excellent communication skills, with attention to detail and a collaborative approach.What's in it for you?Get exposed to cutting-edge technology in Process Automation and have a visible impact on the future.Feel empowered: take ownership and drive exciting results in your scope of action.Play a part in anticipating, sensing and responding to technology trends.More about usAs part of our dedication to our employees, ABB Ireland offers an attractive array of benefits which include:
