If yes, we are currently recruiting for a Wind Turbine Service Technician to join the Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy team working in the Midlands Region of Ireland. As a Wind Turbine Service Technician, you will be part of a permanently employed dedicated service team who will carry out all service, maintenance and repair work. Safety and Quality form a central part of our culture, and the ideal candidate will have a strong focus on both.
They will provide excellent service to our customers and have the ability to work on complex systems in challenging environments.
Some of your key tasks will include but not be limited to: Work as part of a team ensuring service schedules are adhered toFault find and repair electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systemsReport any faults or observations to the service coordinatorPrepare service reports for completed workKeep all service records up to dateEnsure all safety requirements are adhered toCarry out retrofits as requiredAttend additional training courses as requiredCover weekends on a rota basisAttend operation meetings as requiredAttend out of hours' faults when requiredExtensive training and testing will be provided covering safety and technical job requirementsWhat you need to make a difference Electrical, Mechanical or Engineering qualification or equivalent experience - essentialPrevious wind turbine experience would be advantageous (although full training will be provided for the right candidate)Demonstrated ability to work safely and effectively in a team environmentExcellent customer service skills and communication skills are requiredStrong ability to organize and plan daily/weekly work with a high level of quality orientationAbility to work for long periods of time at heightAbility to work under pressure and meet regular deadlinesThe candidate must demonstrate strong initiative and motivation to learn new technology and translate learning into personal successHigh level of flexibility is requiredComputer literatePossess a full valid driver's licenseIn return of your commitment, we offer you: Become a part of our mission for sustainability: Clean energy for generations to comeA global team of diverse colleagues who share passion for renewable energyTrust and empowerment to make your own ideas realityPersonal and professional development to grow internally within our organisationCompetitive Pension SchemeEmpowering our people Our global team is on the front line of tackling the climate crisis, reducing carbon emissions – the greatest challenge we face.
