The Group Information Services team (GIS) are looking to hire a ServiceNow Security Operations Engineer. The successful candidate will develop and implement a strategy to optimize the ServiceNow Security Operations (SecOps) module for efficient incident management, vulnerability response, and threat intelligence across global security operations that aligns with business objectives. The ServiceNow Security Operations Engineer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the effective integration and optimization of ServiceNow SecOps capabilities, enhancing security posture across the organization, along with overseeing the design, configuration, and deployment of SecOps solutions.
Key Responsibilities Implement and optimize the ServiceNow Security Operations (SecOps) module, focusing on areas such as incident response, vulnerability management, and threat intelligence.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand security requirements and tailor ServiceNow solutions that align with business objectives.Provide security engineering support and advisory services to various business units, divisions, and regions.Conduct vulnerability assessments, integrating them within the ServiceNow platform to enhance security visibility and response times.Assist in configuring and managing integrations between ServiceNow SecOps and other security tools such as SIEMs, endpoint protection systems, and threat intelligence platforms.Manage the configuration and administration of email security solutions and assist in projects as needed.Participate in incident management processes and support the resolution of security incidents using the ServiceNow platform.Support and enhance threat detection and vulnerability response capabilities across our global operations.Engage with key stakeholders to ensure the ServiceNow platform is continuously improved to meet evolving security needs.Document processes, workflows, and solutions using ITIL and BPMN methodologies.Key Characteristics Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to document, present, and explain technical issues in a clear, non-technical manner to audiences with varying levels of expertise.In-depth knowledge of security engineering practices and a comprehensive understanding of the ServiceNow Security Operations module, including Security Incident Response, Vulnerability Response, and Threat Intelligence.Familiarity with ITIL frameworks and best practices in security processes.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to connect different elements and see the broader context.Self-motivated and results-driven with a strong focus on achieving objectives.Ability to work collaboratively with internal leadership to ensure security awareness and effectively communicate security issues.Education and Experience At least 5 years' experience in similar type role, with a focus on ServiceNow Security Operations (SecOps).Third Level qualification (or equivalent) in information technology, Information Security or Engineering.CISSP, CCSP, GCIH, GIAC (SANS), CCNP, Splunk certificates and / or other relevant security/Network type engineering certifications.Experience with security technologies such as firewalls, endpoint protection, SIEM, and email security solutions.Knowledge of modern security frameworks, cryptographic controls, and network security protocols.Experience of hardening and applying modern security standards across servers, workstations, SaaS-based solutions and network equipment.Experience with O365 administration.Experience with Mail and Messaging technologies.What CRH Offers You A culture that values opportunity for growth, development, and internal promotion.
