We have an exciting opportunity for a Sheet Metal Worker / Aircraft Structures Technician to join our partner's Sheet Metal/Structures Facility.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the repair and modification of aircraft structures and structural components, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest quality, safety, and technical standards.
Key Responsibilities: Complete assigned duties in a timely and professional manner to maximise output.
Ensure all work completed is signed off as required.
Maintain excellent timekeeping and attendance in line with company procedures.
Ensure that handovers and system updates are accurate and up to date.
Assist with corrective actions for audit findings.
Use personal protective clothing and equipment correctly at all times.
Ensure all technical documentation used is up to date.
Verify that all test equipment is within calibration date.
Keep the work area clean and tidy at all times.
Assist in the development of new component capabilities.
Report any technical or airworthiness issues to the Team Leader.
Be prepared to undertake other duties as reasonably assigned by the company.
Core Competencies: Completed a recognised apprenticeship/structures traineeship and passed relevant exams.
Recent experience in sheet metal and structures-related tasks.
Competence in the repair and overhaul of sheet metal components.
Willingness and ability to attain Company Workshop Approvals relevant to the area.
Good working knowledge of technical matters relevant to workshop activities.
Ability to interpret and apply maintenance manuals, engineering drawings, instructions, service bulletins, and task cards.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Adaptable to change and a team player.
Interest in further development and training qualifications.
Basic computer literacy and willingness to implement new systems and procedures.
Flexible approach to changing priorities and customer demands.
Desirable Competencies: Experience with sheet metal equipment such as guillotines, folders, band saws, pillar drills, and riveting techniques.
Essential Criteria: Recognised apprenticeship with relevant exams successfully completed.
Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
Ability to pass a 5-year security background check.
Willingness to undergo a pre-employment medical.
Eligible to live and work in the Republic of Ireland without restriction.
