Shift Mechanical Technician Location: Dublin 8 Duration: Permanent Salary: c70,000 Hours of work: 24/7 Shift 12.25 hour shifts 4 on 4 off. 24 day shifts followed by 12 night shifts. They are looking to hire a mechanical shift technician based onsite in Dublin 8.
Overview of the role: The Shift Mechanical Technicians will train on all Processes and techniques across Predictive Maintenance, CMMS (Pragma), Reliability techniques, Brewing water, effluent, Refrigeration, Compressors, Pumps, Nitrogen generation, and CO2 collection and export.
Day to day of the role: Monitor and operate the plant with shift technicians on-siteCarry out maintenance activities as assigned including reactive, preventative, and predictive maintenance routinesTrouble-shooting and high-level investigation of utility plant equipment faults and failures – root cause analysisCompliance/quality engineering – recording and investigation of deviations on utility plant and equipmentCarry out planned preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance as requiredEnsure PMs are completed on timeGood knowledge and understanding of CMMS systemsDevelop PMs and Job Plans as well as SOPs for plant equipment.Liaising with site planner regarding stores to identify spare part requirementsReview maintenance programme periodically to ensure optimal uptime levels are achievedSupport and comply with all safety and Food Safety proceduresExperience with: Refrigeration (ammonia), Reverse osmosis, Compressed air, Waste neutralization, pumps, industrial gasesHave sufficient knowledge of the plant to allow decision making in terms of taking plant offline, communicating with relevant people on site, and be capable of identifying the action required to get plant back online or introduce back-up and standby systemsUnderstand the actions to be taken in the event of a serious service outageSupport the Site engineer carrying out Root Cause Analysis on plant failures to determine the sequence of events, the underlying root cause and assist in developing proposals to remedy the faultProvide support to capital improvement projects on utilities systems, and be involved in the commissioning and handover from projects to operationsAssist the Site Engineer in planning and executing complex utility service isolations for maintenance, projects and client worksIdentify, develop and, if approved, implement Continuous Improvement measures to improve the efficiency of plant and working practicesSeek to continuously improve knowledge and understanding of complex mechanical systemsRequired skills for this role: Analytical mindsetExperience with UtilitiesExperience with six sigma/lean preferred5 years mechanical craft qualified or 3rd Level engineering qualificationPast working experience ideally gained in FMCGIf this is something you are interested in, please send your CV in confidence to ******.
