Shop Floor Manager – Value Centre Galway Applications are invited for the position of Shop Floor Manager, Value Centre Galway.
Purpose of the Role To work in conjunction with the General Manager to ensure the Value Centre and Food Service Depot operates in a professional, compliant and profitable manner. This will be achieved through effective management of operational policies, procedures and employees.
Key responsibilities will include Lead team of supervisors and team leaders to maximise warehouse floor capabilities Develop effective business relationships with Cash and Carry customers. Provide customers with advice on promotional items and show margin optimisation for their businesses. Responsible for Cash and Carry layout, pricing and promotional display areas. Manage and report daily on all operational Key performance indicators.Minimising expenditure and where appropriate, assist with the management of overheads. Where errors/issues occur, conduct route-cause analysis including the implementation of preventative measures to prevent reoccurrence. Ensure security of the Depot is maintained, protecting employees and stock. To contribute to the operation of the branch in a customer focused/friendly manner while also having a clear focus on Continuous Change and Improvement of systems and process. Work with the Compliance Officer to ensure the site meets all requirements are that they are adhered too. Get involved in site project work, which can include Cash and Carry layout, Promotional layouts, and refitsAttending and contributing to management meetings.To undertake any other activities as required in line with operational demands The successful candidate will A minimum of 5 years Retail / Warehouse Management experience in the FMCG industry. Experience in managing teams/people. Proficient IT Skills including use of MS Office and a good working knowledge of stock management systems. Have a proven ability for managing in a fast-paced environment. To be a leader in developing a positive culture within the warehouse. A highly motivated self-starter with excellent communication skillsThe ability to provide continuous improvements to the operation.
