Site Engineer | Athy | Residential Circa €45k-€60k per annum (DOE) + Comprehensive Benefits package As Site Engineer, you will play a vital role in managing on-site operations for residential construction projects, with a specific focus on setting out activities. You will ensure the accurate positioning of structural components, monitor the quality of works, and ensure that construction progresses according to the design specifications. You will be responsible for interpreting architectural and engineering plans and translating these into precise on-site measurements, working closely with other construction professionals to deliver projects on time and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities: Perform accurate setting out and leveling of works on-site using appropriate survey equipment (e.g., GPS, Total Station, and laser levels).Oversee daily construction activities, ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with the project schedule, design drawings, and safety regulations.Manage and coordinate subcontractors on-site, ensuring compliance with quality standards and addressing any technical issues that arise.Conduct regular site inspections and ensure that all work meets the required standards of accuracy and quality.Ensure that all construction activities are conducted in line with Health & Safety policies.Maintain accurate and up-to-date site records, including daily reports on work completed, material usage, and any issues encountered.Prepare as-built drawings and technical documentation as required by the project management team.Work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure the project's success.Identify, assess, and resolve technical and construction issues swiftly to minimize delays in project progress.Key Requirements: A degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.A minimum of 2-5 years of relevant experience in a Site Engineer role, with significant experience in setting out and using surveying equipment such as Total Stations, GPS, and laser levels.Familiarity with CAD software and construction project management tools is advantageous.A strong understanding of residential construction processes, local building regulations, and Health & Safety requirements.A full, clean driving license is required.Full package includes a competitive salary (DOE), company bonus, pension contributions, life assurance, income protection, and more.
