Site Engineer - Civils

Job DescriptionOur client is a building and civils contractor working on Dublin Airport projectsDuties will include:Assisting the QS with quantities and project progressAttending site meetings with the construction and design teamsReporting progress on site to senior managementSupporting the senior site engineer and project manager with day to day running of the projectActing under the senior engineer as a technical advisor on site for specialist subcontractorsSetting out, levelling and surveying the siteChecking plans, drawings and setting out co ordinationOverseeing quality control and the implementation of the company's health and safety policy on sitePreparing reports as required for senior site manager and project managerHaving a pro active approach to resolving any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may ariseThe successful candidate must have excellent communication and planning skills and be IT literate, with a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.RequirementsA degree in Civil Engineering or Construction ManagementMin 3 years relevant site engineering experienceHave experience in setting out, using GPS systems, Total Stations, and be proficient with the use of AutoCad software.General day to day running of paperwork on a site, Method Statements, Risk Assessments preparation etc Clean Driving license Package€50K - €65K + transport - negotiable based on experience
