Our client, a leading building and civil engineering contractor based in Sligo, is seeking a skilled and motivated Site Engineer or Senior Site Engineer to join their team.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on high-profile projects in a collaborative and dynamic environment.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the delivery of various construction projects, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
This is a permanent position based in Sligo and the surrounding counties.
Key Responsibilities: * Setting Out: Perform precise setting out duties using the latest GPS and robotic total station equipment.
* Project Coordination: Collaborate closely with site management, subcontractors, and clients to ensure smooth project operations.
* Method Statements & Risk Assessments: Develop, review, and manage comprehensive method statements and risk assessments.
* Quality Assurance: Monitor the quality of construction work, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
* Health & Safety: Enforce rigorous health and safety practices on site, conducting regular inspections and audits.
* Resource Management: Assist in the effective management of materials, equipment, and labour resources.
* Progress Reporting: Maintain detailed site records and produce regular progress reports for stakeholders.
* Technical Problem Solving: Provide technical solutions to on-site issues, working closely with the project team.
* Surveying: Conduct site surveys and measurements as needed.
* Stakeholder Communication: Maintain effective communication with all stakeholders to ensure project goals are met.
Qualifications & Experience: * Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
* Proven experience as a Site Engineer, preferably within building and civil engineering.
* Proficiency in using GPS and total station setting out equipment.
* Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
* Valid driving license required.
