How you'll make an impact: As a member of the Innovation Center at Pandora/SiriusXM, you will be joining a team of Test Engineers responsible for testing SiriusXM software and products related, but not limited to in-vehicle infotainment systems and aftermarket SiriusXM products. The Software Test Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing and executing test procedures to ensure that software programs work as intended. This position will be a part of the software development team. The successful candidate will have the ability to work in a cooperative manner with software engineers, product and program managers.
What you'll do: Work with software engineers, program managers, requirements managers, and other product stakeholders to understand product features and the complete set of requirements to the software.Assist in the development of manual and automated test cases.Work closely with development teams to ensure the effectiveness and quality of the components and systems developed.Develop, maintain, and execute test cases, ensuring the quality and stability of the system throughout the project.Generate testing completion metrics and analysis, as well as status read-outs to upper management.Develop, implement, maintain, and enhance test plans, test scripts, traceability matrices, and test methodologies that ensure exhaustive testing of all assigned software systems to ensure compliance with software/system specifications.Anticipate potential software problems by creating test scenarios.What you'll need: BS Engineering or SW Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience required. MS Engineering is desired.At least 5 years of experience in software testing.Experience in Android application testing on hardware.Experience in testing of HMI of infotainment systems is a plus.Application of software development life cycle concepts.Experience in software development and test automation is a plus.Knowledge of Ruby or Python is a plus.Must be 18 years of age or older.Experience with Git is a plus.Strong communication skills, verbal and written.Ability to work independently and in a team environment.Commitment to internal client and customer service principles.Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Strong testing acumen as well as the technical know-how to automate the work.Troubleshooting - Exceptional ability to isolate & troubleshoot technical issues across the full technology stack by leveraging automated testing methodologies.#LI-AC7
