Focus Ireland Social Care Graduate ProgrammeLocation: Dublin, Limerick, Cork, Waterford.The Focus Ireland Social Care Graduate Programme is a paid, 12-month graduate scheme that offers an exceptional opportunity to work with one of Ireland's leading charities, dedicated to ending homelessness.
This unique programme allows graduates to contribute to meaningful projects across Dublin, Limerick, Cork, or Waterford while building valuable skills and gaining hands-on experience for a rewarding career.
In addition to working alongside experienced teams and leaders, you will receive best-in-class training, one-on-one mentoring, and ongoing support to foster your professional growth and development.What you will do as part of the Graduate Programme:Develop professional relationships with assigned customers.   Work alongside key worker(s) to assist them in a structured and planned manner to manage caseload, including referral management, assessments, sourcing accommodation and move on options. Work with a supervisor to agree ongoing support needs of customers, develop support plans and provide practical support to customers providing highest levels of quality service.   Liaise and communicate effectively with relevant personnel within Focus Ireland and other relevant external agencies as required, including mental health services, drug and alcohol addiction services. Correspond with Dept.
Social Protection to facilitate applications for rent allowance. Ensure the maintenance of accurate, up to date and relevant records, including producing reports and information as required.  Contribute to your role as a member of the team to participate in reviews, evaluations and development of the service. Attend and participate in team meetings, in addition to meetings concerning customers, including clinics for customers requiring assistance, school liaison, case conferences and reviews.    Use organisational PASS to record queries and interventions.Participate in graduate programme training and development activities. Attend and participate supervision.  To be vigilant to any Health, Safety and Welfare risks in the workplace and bring any concerns to the attention of your line manager.Undertake any other relevant and reasonable duties that may be assigned from time to time in consultation with the Manager/ Supervisor. What you will get: Competitive Salary: A fully paid, 12-month role offering a competitive salary.Generous Annual Leave: 25 days of annual leave plus 3 concession days.Employee Schemes: Access to the TaxSaver scheme, Cycle to Work scheme, and the Employee Assistance Programme.Comprehensive Training and Career Development: Extensive training, including Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI), Child Protection and Safeguarding, Motivational Interviewing, Mental Health First Aid, and Practice-Based Addiction.Mentoring and Professional Supervision: One-on-one mentoring and ongoing professional supervision to support your development and career progression.What You Will Need:To be in your final year of study in Social Care, Social Science, Social Work, Childcare, Sociology, Youth Work, Psychology, Community Development, or other relevant degrees.A strong eagerness to learn and grow in your professional journey.A passion for Focus Ireland's mission to end homelessness and a genuine commitment to making a difference in the community.Focus Ireland is an equal opportunities employer.
