Social Care Leader Childrens Residential Services (Disabilities) Contract: Full Time Permanent Position 169hrs per month Salary: €39,000 - €43,000 plus €8k sleep allowance Typical Schedule: 2 x 24hr shifts Location: Castleblayney, County Monaghan and Ardee, Co Louth Principal responsibilities To work directly with the young people in a home like setting, developing a therapeutic, professional, and caring relationship to ensure that their physical, psychological, social, and emotional needs are met.
To assist the management team in creating and maintaining a caring, safe, stable, and professional environment for both the young people to live in and the staff to work in.
To assist in the development of educational plans and support participation in recreational activities To keep accurate and up to date records and reports in respect of individual young people and the daily activities of the home.
Oversee budgets for young people including clothing budgets, holiday budgets, school budgets and family access budgets.
Attend and contribute at meetings such as Child in Care Reviews / Looked After Reviews, Placement Planning Meetings and other relevant multi-disciplinary meetings.
Oversee, write, and edit all reports when submitted for meeting and reviews.
Take responsibility for the effective and efficient running of shifts.
Requirements: Level 7/8 in Applied Social Care or relevant qualification Full Flexibility to work a residential roster 2 years relevant experience working with children/young people from challenging backgrounds.
