We are currently seeking a highly-motivated Social Care Leader to join our team in Adult Respite Services, Ard na Mara, Ladysbridge, Cork.
Contract Type: Permanent
Contract Hours: 39 hours per week
Salary Scale: €50,669 to €59,545 pro rata per annum. Salary scales are subject to LSI's (Long Service Increments)
Annual Leave Entitlement: 31/32/34 days (depending on experience) per annum
Overview of the Post: The Social Care Leader will be responsible for leading and delivering on high standards of care in Ard na Mara Respite Service and contributing to maintaining registration with the Health Information and Quality Authority. The post holder will be responsible, together with the management team, for leading the effective development and delivery of a respite service using a person-centered approach and within a social model of disability, promoting the delivery of services within the ethos and philosophy of Enable Ireland.
The Social Care Leader will provide leadership, supervision and support to social care workers, care support workers and keyworkers and will support the co-ordination of care and social opportunities within the service. The Social Care Leader will monitor staff performance relating to care and support and liaise with the management team where appropriate to raise the standards of practice.

The successful candidate will have: Candidates must have a suitable standard of professional attainments.Must have the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability and ability for the proper discharge of the duties of the office).Must be eligible for registration on the Social Care Workers registration board with CORU from November 2023, must obtain such registration by November 2025 and must maintain such registration for the duration of employment in this role.
