St Bernard's Children's Services Vacancy for: Social Care Manager Therapeutic Children's Residential Service St. Bernard's is a voluntary therapeutic children's service based in Co. Tipperary, which provides a unique and dedicated service to children in residential and foster care.
We are seeking a Social Care Manager to join an established service, focused on providing a trauma-informed model of care for young people of primary school age. This role involves creating a therapeutic environment through relationship-building and positive attachment development.
You will play a crucial role in delivering comprehensive trauma-informed care. Your responsibilities will include centre management, financial management, staff management, and health and safety of a residential centre. The Social Care Manager will report to the Director of Services (Deputy Director).

We are inviting applicants who meet the following criteria: A CORU recognised degree in Social Care. (All applicants should have started the process or be eligible to register with CORU as social care workers.) Have worked 5+ years full-time as a Social Care Leader (SCL) in a Children's Residential Service (CRS) PLUS have at least 3+ years' full-time CRS experience at social care worker grade AND hold a management qualification suitable for a health care or social care setting. OR Have already worked as an SCM in a mainstream CRS for at least 3+ years AND have at least 6 years' working experience at a Social Care Leader or Social Care Worker grade in a social care setting AND hold a management qualification suitable for a health care or social care setting. A Full Driver's Licence. Starting salary: €63,350, 30 days' holidays per year.
Positions/grades/salaries are contingent on Tusla funding.
