Recruitment Advertisement   Social Care Worker Celbridge, Co. Kildare Terms: Flexible Hours, Part time; Initial 1-year fixed term contract   ROLE SUMMARY Social Care Worker required to support an active young man with autism living in Celbridge, Co Kildare.
This gentleman loves the outdoors and swimming and enjoys spending time in his local community.
Your role is to support him to develop his independence in his home and to lead a meaningful, inclusive, enjoyable life.
We are seeking a friendly, enthusiastic person who can work on their own initiative with good common sense and a good sense of humour.     MAIN DUTIES:      Social Care Workers must have a full driver licence and be prepared to drive company vehicles      Social Care Workers support the person in all areas of their lives - in their home and community.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:      Experience in the social care/intellectual disability sector preferably in residential and day service settings      Skills to support people with autism in ordinary places in the community      Experience with low arousal method      Excellent communication skills - verbal and written      Full, clean driver's license      Available to work residential hours which will include shift work/ sleepovers and weekends as part of an established friendly team.       Proficient in using standard office IT applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook      Excellent organisational and time management skills      Hold a relevant qualification to degree level in the area of social care SALARY:       Competitive salary based on HSE PayScale's.
