About SJF: St. Josephs Foundation is a voluntary organisation providing comprehensive services for people with intellectual disabilities.
Founded in 1968 the Foundation has grown through continuously responding to the needs of people with intellectual disabilities and their families.
About the role: We are seeking suitability qualified Social Care Worker a Full & Part time basis offering permanent opportunities.
Duties and Responsibilities: Resident Care:  Attend to daily service users' daily needs, adopt respectful relationships, advocate independence, and assist with physical care, daily living, and social skills.
Community Integration:  Facilitate service users' leisure activities and ensure their engagement in the community.
Household Management:  Assistance with budgeting, cooking, shopping, and maintaining cleanliness, while encouraging resident participation.
Medication Administration:  Administer and record prescribed medication.
Record Keeping:  Maintain accurate records and reports as required by the Foundation.
Visitor Engagement:  Foster a welcoming environment for visitors.
Health & Safety: Proper use of aids/appliances, reporting incidents and ensuring knowledge of emergency procedures.
Report faulty equipment and implement fire and safety precautions.
Leadership: Support and develop staff through induction, supervision, and training.
Coordinate individual plans for residents and conduct staff supervision meetings.
Ensure adherence to policies and maintain effective communication with all stakeholders.
Promote dignity, respect, and advocacy in person-centred care.
Locations: North Cork & South Limerick ( Locations below) North Cork:  Charleville Newmarket Mallow Buttevant      South Limerick: Kilmallock Ballagran Granagh Dromcollogher  Bruree Ideal candidates should possess: A HETAC-accredited Diploma/Degree in Social Care, or a qualification in Nursing (RNID), or eligibility for CORU registration under the standards of proficiency (www.coru.ie/social-care-workers) Experience working with adults and/or children with intellectual disabilities Experience working with Challenging behaviour in a Residential setting A full driver's license (manual) Benefits: Section 39 pay scales - DOE +Yearly Increment Paid Company Sick leave Paid Company Maternity Leave Pension - Organisation contribution of 6.35% 24 Days annual leave  Access to the Employee Assistance Programme Bike to work scheme Death - in - service Career development opportunities Section 39 pay scales (premiums additional payment to the set hourly rate) €18.73, €19.43, €20.14, €20.85, €21.58.
