Social Care Worker, Listowel Respite Service (22.25 Hrs Per Week)

We are currently recruiting for the following position: Post: Social Care Worker Contract: Specified Purpose, Part-Time (22.25 hrs per week) Maternity Leave Cover Location: Listowel, Co Kerry *Please note, rosters may be subject to change due to the operational requirements of the service* The Role: To facilitate and implement a person centered approach for our individuals appropriate to their wishes and goals. To promote and protect the rights of the people we support in a manner that respects their dignity, right to make choices, and their privacy. To ensure the overall wellbeing of the people we support in all areas of their lives including health and personal care. Involvement in attending local team meetings. Essential Criteria: Must be eligible for registration on the Social Care Workers registration board with CORU from November 2023. Must obtain such registration by November 2025 and must maintain such registration for the duration of employment in this role. Experience of working in a care delivery capacity, preferably within a disability service. A passion for promoting and empowering those you support. An excellent knowledge of the HIQA regulations and standards. A full drivers licence with access to a car insured for business purposes and must be willing to drive Association vehicles is desirable.  Where applicable, applicants must hold a valid Irish work permit.
