Social Care Workers (Person Centred Wing)

PERSON CENTRED WING SOCIAL CARE WORKERS LONGFORD SERVICES The focus of this role will be to support an individual to realise their vision to leading a good life through Person Centred approaches in line with personal interests, skills, will and preference.

Various Contracts available including Relief (If and When Required) We are looking to recruit social care workers to work in the Longford area.
The successful applicants will have the opportunity to support individuals on a 1:1 basis to be more independent in their own homes and to assist them to make connections and develop relationships within their local community.
We are looking for social care workers who are motivated, enthusiastic and creative.

Essential requirements/qualities of applicant are: · Relevant recognised Diploma in Social Care / Applied Social Studies in Social Care (Level 7 on National Framework of Qualifications).

· Registered with CORU, or have commenced the registration process.

· Knowledge of HIQA Standards.

· A valid licence to drive a manual vehicle in Ireland.

· Experience of supporting adults with intellectual disabilities and/or autism is highly desirable.

· Excellent organisational, logistical and I.T skills an advantage.

· Suitability as outlined in the introduction to the role.

Please note that the successful candidates will be required to be available for any of day, weekend, waking night duty and 'sleep-over / over-night' shifts.
We also require staff members to be willing to work alone in the residents' homes and across a variety of locations if required.
