Job Description Role Purpose The post holder will be responsible for the provision of a quality evidence based Social Work service including assessment of family needs, and a range of advisory, practical and skilled emotional supports to children and young people 0 to 18 years and their families accessing the Children's Disability Network Team.
The service is provided within the Progressing Disabilities Services f or Children and young people (PDS) framework, with interdisciplinary team working and family centred practice at its core.
The duties of this post will include direct intervention with children and families and having a social work role in particular team projects or developments as directed by the CDNT Manager.
Key Resposnibilities Plans and organises activities and necessary resources efficiently and effectively.
Understands the importance of time management for themselves and in particular how this translates to organising their assigned caseload.
Demonstrates the ability to prioritise and arrange their caseload and workload accordingly.
Deals with unexpected scenarios under supervision with persistence and flexibility to ensure the achievement of goals.
Maintains a disciplined and professional level of performance under sustained or situational pressure with support from Senior Social worker and CDNM.
Incorporate Social Work values and ethical principles in planning, developing, implementing and reviewing interventions.
The Person Must be registered with and maintain registration on the Social Work Register maintained by the Social Work Registration Board at CORU.
Experience of working with Children & families.
Experience of working disability services.
Safeguarding experience.
