We are currently seeking a highly-motivated Social Worker Team Lead to join our team in Adult Services based at Ballintemple, Cork.
Contract Type: Permanent
Contract Hours: 18 hours per week
Salary Scale: €64,386 – €75,753 pro rata per annum. Salary scales are subject to LSI's (Long Service Increments)
Annual Leave Entitlement: 34 days per annum
Overview of the Post: The post holder will work across Cork Adult Services providing services to adults within the Cork city and county area. The post holder will be required to work across a variety of settings including day services, respite, and residential services. The post holder will lead and be responsible for the effective delivery of a quality social work service to adults with disabilities, meeting the ongoing complex and challenging needs of the adults and their support networks.
The duties of this post will combine direct assessment and intervention with adults with disabilities and their support network, along with taking a lead role in adult protection. It will also include the provision of support and supervision to other Social Workers across the services as required. The post holder will take direct responsibility for an adult caseload.

The successful candidate will have: Must be registered in the Social Work Register maintained by the Social Work Registration Board at CORU.Maintain live annual registration on the Social Workers Register maintained by the Social Workers Registration Board at CORU.Must have the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability, professional, and managerial ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.Have three years full-time (or aggregate of 3 years full-time) relevant post-qualification experience.Provide proof of Statutory Registration on the Social Workers Register maintained by the Social Workers Registration Board at CORU before a contract of employment can be issued.Have experience of working in disability services.Have a valid driving licence with access to own transport in order to deliver services across a large geographical area.Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team.Experience working collaboratively with adults with disabilities.Experience in providing clinical supervision.Experience in developing and delivering psycho-educational interventions to adults with disabilities.If you believe you would fit the role then please submit your application today.
