Cpl FosterCare, part of the Cpl Group are looking for Independent Assessors to complete assessments and reviews of foster care applicants and approved foster carers, ensuring that children who live away from their home do so in a safe and secure environment with loving families.
This position might suit someone who is retired, on a career break or looking for extra work as the assessments can be carried out in the evening or weekends and it is up to the individual as to how much work they take on.
Job Description: ·Completion of Fostering Assessments to include General Assessments, S36 Family Assessments, Supported Lodgings Assessments and Foster Care Reviews on behalf of our client TUSLA child and family Agency
·Attending Foster Care Approval Committees and Foster Care Review Meetings
·To ensure that assessments and reviews are completed in a timely manner and in line with the recommended timescales (sixteen weeks from date of first home visit)
·Responsibility for submitting all necessary documentation on behalf of applicant
·Ensure that all work is recorded appropriately
·Be able to work produce reports to the expected standard of CPL Foster Care policies and guidance and in line with the required National Standards for Foster Care, TUSLA policies and guidance, the Child Care Act 1991 and the Children First Act 2015
·Engagement in supervision at least three per assessment
Person Specification: ·You must hold a recognised qualification as a Social Worker with CORU registration
·At least 3 years' experience completing assessments (preferably within the domain of fostering)
·Excellent knowledge of legislation within fostering
·Permission to work in Ireland
·Flexibility In Work Practice and a high level of self-motivation
·Registration with our chosen partner Umbrella company Fenero (can be arranged following successful interview)
·Excellent writing and IT skills
·Access to a car and full driving license
