Scaling the network to meet user demand is a unique challenge: Network Capacity Services (NCS) builds the infrastructure to manage the demand forecast and the planning of the future state of the network. We own the software system that predicts future needs, elaborates where new network infrastructure has to be deployed, and builds the plan according to physical constraints. The complexity, size, and speed of growth reflect on the software we develop and operate, which must fit the need of a mission critical function for AWS.
We are looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer to build the software that creates the plans to scale one of the world's largest and most complex networks, and bring them to completion without human intervention. Millions of customers rely on Amazon's network for their success and we guarantee that the business growth is never constrained. AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we're the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain — and we're looking for talented people who want to help.
