Software Development Engineer (L5), Fulfillment Optimization - ControlJob ID: 2814368 | Amazon.com Services LLC
Amazon ships millions of packages to customers across the world every hour. Packages go through a complicated fulfillment network consisting of thousands of nodes and arcs before reaching the customer. The services that optimize assignment decisions for each customer shipment consider millions of decision parameters, which update every millisecond.
If you are looking for a challenge that is not only computationally complex, but also requires understanding the math and economics behind the world's largest and most efficient supply chain, you've come to the right place.
The complexity of optimizing across millions of parameters to come up with the optimal set of assignments for each shipment in Amazon's fulfillment network comes with a new challenge - Explaining the decisions at scale and building continuous improvements to the optimization and machine learning models that influence these decisions. At Amazon, if we can't explain it, we don't do it.
Join us in building scalable systems, leveraging state of the art technologies in the space of Big data processing, Scalable micro-service architecture, Linear Optimization techniques, Machine learning and AI to solve the problems of Amazon's fulfillment supply chain.
