About the Role You will be part of the Core Platform Buses team enabling Qualcomm SOCs to support industry standard 2 wire, 4 wire protocols – I2C, SPI, UART and some proprietary protocols as well in the different stages of the device from Boot loader to RTOS based subsystems and Kernel OS like Linux, Windows etc.
Device driver development includes working closely with the Hardware, SOC design and validation team along with HW/SW architecture teams and come up with various stages of SDLC cycle including commercialization of the product. There are various driver models of driver with low footprint, KPI sensitive and upstream framework adaptation model for UEFI, Zephyr environment that is expected in the team.
What are we looking for? 3-6 years of experience with embedded systemsGood understanding of basic real-time/embedded programming concepts & RTOS conceptsGood understanding of microprocessor, multiprocessor architecture.Must be proficient in C.Good analytical and problem solving skills.Knowledge and experience in driver development on one or more operating systems including RTOS or any embedded operating system.Responsibilities will include: Driver design and development on multiprocessor and multithreaded ASIC platforms with SDLC cycle.Driver development/support includes 1 wire, 2-wire, serial peripheral industry standard protocol such as I2C, SPI and UART, PCIE.Debug and resolve issues in drivers reported by internal test teams as well as by customers.Education requirements: BE/BTech/MTech/MS – Electronics and Communication, Computer ScienceWhere you will be working Cork has a proud reputation as Ireland's second largest economic engine and is now one of the Top 20 location choices in Europe with 39,000 people being employed by over 170 overseas companies.
