You will be experienced in the Java Enterprise stack, having used latest Java and ideally Scala to build secure, performant and reliable enterprise applications.
ResponsibilitiesDesign and code servers, services and applications that are reusable, scalable and meet critical architecture goals.Work with product owners and QA to clarify requirements/specs and create automated functional and unit tests (BDD, TDD).Support Operations and Service Delivery teams in delivering solutions and troubleshooting problems in production deployments.Thrive on collaboration, working side by side with people of all backgrounds and disciplines, exhibiting strong verbal and written communication skills.Solve problems, debug, troubleshoot, design and implement solutions to complex technical issues.Basic Qualifications (minimum requirements needed to perform this job)Significant engineering background focused on delivering value.Experience of building secure and performant RESTful services at scale.Competent at Test Driven Development.Strong software design skills.Strong programming experience working on the JVM (Scala, Java).Experience with the Java Enterprise (JEE) stack.Have an interest in, understanding of, or experience with Agile/Lean development methodology.Have proven ability to learn new skills quickly and use the skills efficiently.Preferred SkillsExperience with multiple design paradigms (Object-Oriented, DDD, Functional Programming, SOA).Experience of RDBMS systems (Oracle, PostgreSQL).Experience with modern web technologies (Angular, React).Experience with Kubernetes/Azure deployments.Experience working with CI/CD.Knowledge of TypeScript and modern web technologies (Angular/React).Knowledge of Healthcare and Clinical Trials domain.Education and Certification RequirementsBSc in Computer Science field or equivalent experience.Work EnvironmentOffice/Work Environment Specifics: Hybrid Work.Travel requirements (if applicable): None.About UsMerative is a place to grow.
