The Tempered Glass team is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to be a part of our Development group within our Cyber Incident Response department.
This individual will be tasked in helping mature our processes and procedures for the development group along with maintaining and advancing our in-house developed products for our Security Operations Center, Security Incident Response team, Enterprise Vulnerability Management team, and others.
This role requires ability to develop innovative solutions and coordinate development with others on the team, and reports to the Senior Manager of Cybersecurity Software Development.
Candidate expectation is self-starter, highly organized and detail orientated; seek opportunities to improve, enhance and evolve SOC Operations.
Primary Responsibilities of the Software Engineer: •    Designs, develops, and implements solutions that exemplify modern software engineering practices  •    Maintains current perspective on technology trends, applying that to personal and team capability growth.
Actively participate in code review  •    Champions "automation first" mentality throughout engineering and operations practices  •    Drives code reuse and contribution strategy for span of control; minimizes redundant development  •    Has strong familiarity with many technologies and shares this with others  •    Support cross team collaboration across EIS to drive execution of initiatives.
Distribute and provide technical material and updates to leadership  •    Drive increased productivity first through operational excellence (e.g.
organizational model, process engineering, automations, project management discipline) vs adding additional resources  •    Perform all other related duties as assigned  •    Generally work is self-directed and not prescribed  •    Actively engages with our customers to understand their teams functions and operations You will be rewarded and recognised for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role, as well as providing development for other roles you may be interested in.
Required Qualifications of the Software Engineer: •    Strong proven experience in a technical discipline such as solution architect, development, or systems engineering.
•    Proven consistent Python experience  •    Experience with Javascript and at least one JS framework (Vue, React, Angular)  •    Knowledge of Agile, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.
•    Proven knowledge of using container orchestration and message queue platforms including Kubernetes and Docker.
Preferred Qualifications of the Software Engineer: •    Experience working in security operations, cyber defense, or application security.
•    Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.
•    Data engineering experience.
•    Software Certifications: AWS, GCP, Azure  •    Experience in GoLang Please note you must currently be eligible to work and remain indefinitely without any restrictions in the country to which you are making an application.
