Job Description This position is for a Software Engineering internship opportunity at Motorola Solutions in our expanding Cork office.
We are looking for software engineers & software testers with a strong interest in embedded systems to help expand our team and deliver the next generation of communication devices to our customers.
Our mission is to ensure that the products meet the requirements and related quality level before they are released into the field.
The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and commitment to maintaining the highest standards of software quality.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:Work in an Agile/Scrum team to analyse, design, implement, and test new two-way radio products and featuresTeamwork in a multi-site, world-wide development environmentFinding, tracking, and repairing RTOS device software defectsCreate and execute unit, integration, system, load, and acceptance testsExecute test cases, analyse results and report all detected issues/defectsCollaborate with other team members and test & engineering managers.Basic RequirementsCurrently pursuing at least a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, BIS or a related field.Preferred Skills:Experience in C/C++ is a plusExperience in real-time embedded software is a plusStrong communication and problem solving skills is a plusExperience using version control; Git is a plusExperience with Linux is a plusExperience with embedded development/debug tools (such as emulators/JTAG, etc.)
