Production Equipment Europe is a leading industrial distributor supplying over 90,000 products to customers across Europe.
We are currently recruiting for a Sourcing Specialist to work within our team based in Galway.
The Sourcing Specialist will work closely with managers and cross-functional teams within the organization to help drive cost savings and maximize business opportunities.
ResponsibilitiesStrategic sourcing of product and global procurementNegotiate pricing, deals, contracts, and delivery schedules with suppliersIdentify, evaluate, and capitalize on opportunities to reduce sourcing costs, build on current product offering, and create additional value for customer baseConduct regular market and spend analysis to drive cost savings and supplier improvementsDevelop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure high quality & cost-effective solutionsPartner with key internal stakeholders to develop business and maximize opportunitiesManage tender enquiries and negotiation of contractsWork as part of a dynamic and experienced team to help achieve company goalsSkills & ExperienceQualification or relevant industry-related experience, background in supply chain or sourcing preferredProven track record of supplier evaluation, negotiation & selectionStrong organizational & administration skillsAbility to absorb technical information of productsExcellent negotiation and decision-making skillsGood computer skills (MS Office), SAP ERP experience highly desirableFlexible & proactive attitude with an ability to think strategicallyAble to work under pressure in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work as a team memberAbility to work to agreed time scales and deadlines
