SR. ACCOUNTANT (EMEA) As the company expands its international footprint and provides Starlink (our revolutionary satellite low-latency broadband internet), Starlink Internet Services Limited is seeking a senior accountant for our Dublin office to help ensure that our financial reporting obligations are met.
The Sr. Accountant role will focus on the Europe and Middle East operations and will join our new and dynamic business division, Starlink. Starlink provides satellite internet coverage to over 100 countries around the world. Its mission is to deliver global internet access, and it is ideally suited to support rural and geographically isolated areas where internet connectivity is unreliable or nonexistent. Based in Dublin and reporting to the Financial Operations Director, the Sr. Accountant will have a broad and varied role, supporting the existing team with reporting and accounting work.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Prepare and review statutory financial statements in compliance with local GAAP.Ensure accurate reconciliation and conversion of financials from US GAAP to local GAAP.Manage the statutory audit process, liaising with external auditors to ensure audits are completed on time and in full compliance.Handle statutory filings and regulatory requirements.Assist in preparing and reviewing year-end financial statements, ensuring they meet local regulatory standards.Collaborate with internal finance teams to gather and analyze financial data for statutory reporting.Ensure compliance with local laws and regulations impacting statutory financial reporting.Analyze financial data to provide insights and ensure accurate financial reporting.Support ongoing process improvements in financial reporting and internal controls.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in accounting, tax, finance, or business discipline.Finalist or recently qualified ACA or ACCA.4+ years of accounting or audit experience in public accounting/Big 4, or with a large multinational organization, including experience with accounting matters and tax across Europe.US GAAP and local GAAP experience.PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: Proficient in financial systems and advanced Excel skills.Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with both internal and external teams and global team across time zones.Familiarity with IFRS and local accounting standards beyond FRS 102.Knowledge of corporate governance and compliance processes.Experience with multinational environment.Intercompany accounting experience.Ability to embrace change based on business needs, and ability to work in a startup type environment. Adaptability and flexibility will be essential.ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: We will be prioritizing applicants who have a current right to work in Dublin.This position is based in Dublin, Ireland and requires being onsite - remote or hybrid work will not be considered.
