The Human Resources Learning & Development team is actively seeking the right teammate to support the stand up of our learning & development function in EMEA, as the Senior Manager Learning & Development.
The role will be site-based, at our new facility in Athenry, Ireland.
Our mission is simple: .As the Senior Manager Learning & Development, you will lead a learning & development team to promote a high-tech hands-on approach to developing our employees.
This role has overall responsibility for directing the activities of employee learning & development (including both technical and non-technical learning) across the business to meet company and internal customer objectives and ensure alignment to global learning implementation processes.
In this role you will also assist in the recruitment and training of subject matter expert facilitators to provide highly active and engaging learning experiences for Dexcom employees and use learning evaluation data to drive ongoing performance improvement across all job roles.Where you come in:You will develop and implement a structured learning management system that enables scaling and continuous improvement and adds value by increasing production numbers, maintaining quality, increasing flexibility, and reducing costs.You will lead and manage a learning delivery team by confidently directing work, delegating tasks, and empowering the team to execute duties in a manner that aligns with business goals.You will work with cross-functional teams to support the installation and ramp of commercial production, at the new factory, while also supporting all business units throughout the EMEA region.You will partner with stakeholders to define, prioritize, and develop learning plans, ensuring alignment on program deliverables.You will assist in recruiting and training subject matter experts who can facilitate highly active and engaging learning experiences for all employees.You will use learning evaluation data to identify opportunities and drive ongoing performance improvement within both the business and the learning & development process.You will ensure the learning delivery team's commitment to comply with established safety practices and documented quality system procedures at all stages of the learning experience.You will establish an annual budget and manage expenditures throughout the year in conjunction with site leadership and HR Learning & Development.You will employ sound leadership, management techniques, and best practices in supervising your team (e.g., provide guidance, support, conflict mitigation, tools, and resources).You will encourage individual and team development and establish measured performance goals for each team member on a regular basis.What makes you successful: You have 15+ years of coaching, training, and/or development experience, with a minimum of 5 years managing direct reports.You demonstrate extensive knowledge of:Theories and models of adult learningDiverse instructional modalities (e.g., instructor-led, computer-based, augmented/virtual reality, etc.
)Types and applications of facilitation techniques (e.g., role play, games, practical exercises)Skills for effectively sourcing, establishing, and managing partnerships (e.g., vendors, colleges, professional associations).
You have strong experience in:Building and managing work groups by leveraging team dynamics, delegating tasks, and fostering collaboration.Coordinating the logistical tasks associated with planning learning events.Facilitating learning events using multiple delivery methods (e.g., instructor-led, computer-based, OJT).Creating a positive learning environment.Selecting and employing the most effective delivery format and media to achieve optimal learning or behavioral outcomes.Using a learning management system to manage the deployment of learning materials, record completion of learning, and report learning data to inform leadership and drive decision making.Improving learning effectiveness by coaching facilitators and other learning professionals.Supporting professional development by helping to identify goals and develop realistic action plans while monitoring progress and accountability.Understanding how learning, development, and performance improvement contributes to an organization's competitive advantage.
