An AWS Sr. Technical Account Manager is a trusted advisor and cloud operations architect for our Enterprise Support customers. As a trusted advisor you'll have a direct impact in helping our customers gain the most value from cloud technology. You'll craft and execute strategies to drive our customers' adoption and use of AWS services. This includes a range of products including EC2, S3, DynamoDB & RDS databases, Lambda, CloudFront CDN, IoT and many more.
Our Sr. Technical Account Managers partner with some of the most iconic businesses in the country. These range from rising startups building their business from scratch through to large enterprises going through significant transformation. You'll provide advice on architecture, support strategy, project and launch planning as well as ongoing operational issues.
AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.
Key job responsibilitiesResponsibilities include:
You'll advise on solutions, provide technical guidance and advocate for the customerEnsure AWS environments remain operationally healthy whilst reducing cost and complexityDevelop trusting relationships with customers, understanding their business needs and technical challengesUsing your technical acumen and customer obsession, you'll drive technical discussions regarding incidents, trade-offs, and risk managementConsult with a range of partners from developers through to C-suite executivesCollaborate with AWS Solutions Architects, Business Developers, Professional Services Consultants, and Sales Account ManagersWith a bias for action, you'll proactively find opportunities for customers to gain additional value from AWSProvide detailed reviews of service events, monthly & quarterly metrics, detailed pre-launch planningSolve a variety of problems across different customers as they migrate their workloads to the cloudUplift customer capabilities by running workshops, brown bag sessions, etc.About the teamWe're passionate about supporting the needs of our people and their family members. BASIC QUALIFICATIONSExperience in design/implementation/operations/consulting with distributed applicationsExperience in technical engineeringExperience in external enterprise customer-facing role as a technical lead, with strong oral and written communication skills, presenting to both large and small audiencesKnowledge of cloud based architecture, cloud services and experience in customer facing rolesPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSExperience in a 24x7 operational services or support environmentExperience in internal enterprise or external customer-facing environment as a technical leadExperience with AWS services or other cloud offeringsAmazon is an equal opportunities employer.
