We are currently seeking a highly-motivated Staff Nurse to join our team in our Adult Respite Services, Ard na Mara, Ladysbridge, Co Cork. Contract Type: Permanent

Contract Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Salary Scale: €34,492 to €50,362 pro rata per annum.
Salary scales are subject to LSI's (Long Service Increments)

Annual Leave Entitlement: 33/34/36 days depending on experience

Overview of the Post: To provide a safe, homely environment to adults who are visiting Enable Ireland community homes.
To work with the Service Owners to meet their identified needs during their stay.
As a member of the team and through a person centred approach work with Services Owners accessing respite service including the delivery of intimate and personal care, housekeeping and social support.

The successful candidate will have Essential Criteria: Statutory Registration, Professional Qualifications, Experience, etc

(a) Eligible applicants will be those who on the closing date for the competition:

Be registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Ireland [NMBI] (Bord Altranais agus Cnáimhseachais na hÉireann).

And

(b) Candidates must possess the requisite knowledge and ability, (including a high standard of clinical and administrative capacity), for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.

Annual registration

On appointment, practitioners must maintain live annual registration on the Register of Nurses & Midwives maintained by Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland [NMBI] (Bord Altranais agus Cnáimhseachais na hÉireann).

· Possess a full clean manual driving license

Desirable Criteria: · Experience of working with adults or children with disabilities desirable.

· Experience of working within a residential/respite setting an advantage.

· Have a minimum of 1 years post registration experience

· Experience of working in a person-centred health or social care setting

· Have such experience as will enable him/her to provide nursing duties as required.
