9 We are Hiring Staff Nurse-Oncology at a leading hospital in Dublin, Ireland.  37.5 hours per week(  Permanent / Full-time) Responsibilities Provide expert practical care to patients receiving oncology and palliative care.
You should also take part in the oversight of the planning, execution, and assessment of individualised patient care, guaranteeing that the patient comes first.
Ensure patient and staff safety by administering chemotherapy medications in compliance with local policy and guidelines.
Recognise the complex requirements of patients with cancer and palliative care and offer them and their families a comprehensive support system.
An adaptable rostering strategy and willingness to switch between the oncology day unit and the inpatient unit.
Take part in the coordination of the oncology outpatient clinic.
Recognise community-based resources for patients undergoing cancer and palliative care.
Oversee the nursing practice of less seasoned staff members and student nurses, and take part in the practice's instructional components.
Requirements Complete enrolment in the General section of the NMBI-maintained Register of Nurses.
A minimum of one year of recent, pertinent post-registration nursing experience in an acute hospital setting, either full-time or equivalent hours worked part-time.
Chemotherapy proficiency is desirable but not necessary.
On-site instruction will be provided.
It is preferable to have completed or be willing to pursue a recognized post-registration nursing degree, such as a Higher Diploma or Post Grad program in Oncology.
Possess or be pursuing a current Basic Life Support certification Strong professional and clinical aptitude IT abilities Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities Proficiency in speaking and writing in English.
