We are hiring a Staff Nurse   PACU in a Private Hospital in Limerick, Ireland.
Full-time permanent position 37.5 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities  To ensure a high standard of care is always maintained.
To work in a fast-paced acute environment.
Demonstrate effective assessment of the patient's condition on admission to the Post Anaesthetic Care Unit.
To have the ability to continuously assess and monitor the patient and identify any signs of deterioration.
Ensure all checking processes are carried out correctly and thoroughly and documentation relating to patients is accurately maintained in accordance with hospital policies.
To communicate effectively with patients and families.
Requirements Registration in the General Division of the live register of nurses kept by the NMBI.
12 months recent acute hospital experience is essential.
Previous experience in a Post Anaesthetic Care Unit / Critical Care Unit would be advantageous but not essential.
Demonstrable commitment to Quality and Patient Safety.
Have experience of working in a multi-disciplinary clinical environment.
Strong clinical and communication skills are required.
