Staff Nurse Residential Detox Location: North County Dublin

Our Client is a national housing and homeless charity dedicated to reducing homelessness and addressing the harm caused by substance misuse and social disadvantage. The charity provides accessible services, primarily to young people and vulnerable adults with complex needs and offers pathways out of homelessness. They are currently seeking dedicated Staff Nurses to work in their Residential Detox Programmes.
Requirements: BSc in Psychiatric, General, or Intellectual Disability Nursing (RNID). Current NMBI Registration. Full, clean driving license and access to a car. Strong communication skills, commitment to providing the highest level of service, professionalism, maintaining professional boundaries, respect for others, promoting choice, independence, health and well-being, resilience, and a positive outlook. Experience working with clients detoxing from methadone in a residential setting is desirable. A keen interest in addiction and a comprehensive understanding of the social implications of drug misuse. Responsibilities: Maintain participants' records and documentation accurately. Actively participate in team meetings. Provide written reports to the Clinical Nurse Manager when required. Document any Incidents/Accidents promptly. Review care plans and safety plans weekly, ensuring changes in client care are documented and adjustments implemented holistically to meet client needs. Adjustments to workload may be necessary occasionally to accommodate organizational priorities. Advance notice and consultation will be provided. Maintain a positive and enthusiastic attitude in all interactions with management, staff, and participants of the Peter McVerry Trust, as well as external agencies. Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Clinical Nurse Manager to meet client needs and organizational requirements. Benefits: Employee Assistance Programme.
