We are urgently seeking Staff Nurse - Theatre for a private hospital in Westmeath Ireland.
Responsibilities The Staff Nurse will communicate with the Clinical Coordinator and provide required support.
Work to NMBI Scope of Practice and maintain the competence necessary for professional Be available and flexible to work in all clinical areas of the Hospital as required.
Deliver a high level of evidence-based patient-centered care Adhere to both national and Hospital protocols, policies, procedures guidelines and standards of practice.
Liaise with Theatre Consultants concerning patient care and treatment Respect and maintain the privacy, dignity, and confidentiality of the patient Manage a designated caseload Promote the health, welfare, and social well-being of patients within our services Actively participate as a multi-disciplinary / inter-disciplinary team member in all aspects of service delivery, clinical and team meetings Report and consult with the relevant CNM2 on clinical issues as appropriate Maintain appropriate and accurate written nursing records and reports regarding patient care by local/national / professional guidelines Participate in clinical audit and review Ensure that patient specimens and forms are accurately labeled without delay.
Requirements NMBI Registered General Nurse license in good standing.
To have at least 1 year's recent relevant post-registration nursing experience, preferably in an acute hospital setting.
Previous experience in a Theatre environment in any of one of the specialty areas of Anaesthetics, Scrubbing, Recovery, or Endoscopy is preferred but full training is given.
Possess well-developed interpersonal and organizational skills, proven clinical ability, risk management, clinical audit, and excellent communication skills.
