Job Description Role Purpose The CNM3 has a pivotal role in co-ordination and management of activity and resources within the Residential Area to oversee and ensure quality of nursing care and care delivery.
Key Responsibilities Ensuring that Adult Services meet all the requirements under the Health Act 2007-2013 regulations and the HIQA standards for Intellectual Disability Services.
When required be a person in charge under the Health Act 2007-2013 regulation.
Resource management, planning, staffing, rostering, staff development, supervision, facilitating communication and professional/clinical leadership.
Supporting the core values and the mission statement of Stewarts Care.
Ensuring confidentiality on all matters and information obtained during the course of employment.
Promote and support the implementation of the organisations strategic plan.
C ontribute to the strategic management and planning process for Adult Services To provide a high level of professional & clinical leadership.
Working with other members of the team to ensure that Adult Services meets the professional standards required in accordance with national standards.
Ensuring the efficient and effective use of resources and a skill mix and staff allocation in line with the agreed dependency needs.
Working with relevant personnel on drawing up and reviewing protocol, policies and procedures within Adult Services.
E ffectively workload management.
Ensure where required that the responsibilities of the Person in Charge under legislation are undertaken.
Ensure CNM 1/ 2 are effectively carrying out a managerial role.
Ensure regular and participatory visits to all living areas, recording outcomes and findings.
To promote the protection and safeguarding of all service users.
Actively striving to develop multidisciplinary communication, collaboration and teamwork.
Demonstrate leadership skills and ensure the highest standards of clinical practice within Adult Services.
