This is a unique opportunity for a dedicated Strategic Project Manager to offer a hybrid working environment to drive data centre projects scheduling, planning, forecasting, resourcing, and managing technical activities to ensure project accuracy and quality. The Project Manager is responsible for the engineering and technical disciplines of ongoing projects and has the ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline.
Main Responsibilities: Determine and define project scope and objectivesPredict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources effectivelyPrepare budget based on scope of work and resource requirementsTrack project costs rigorously and mitigate potential inflation risks in order to meet budgetDevelop and manage a detailed project schedule and work planProvide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progressManage contracts with suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverablesUtilize industry best practices, techniques & standards throughout entire project executionMonitor progress and make adjustments as neededMeasure project performance to identify areas for improvementInteract with clients, interpreting their needs and requirementsPerform quality control tasks on budgets, schedules, plans, and personnel performance and reporting on the project's statusReview the engineering tasks and initiate the necessary corrective actionsDevelop specifications for the project's needed equipmentCreate frameworks to measure the project's metrics and data collectionEnsure the project's compliance with the applicable codes, practices, policies, performance standards, and specificationsAssist on site works such as snagging, pre-commissioning and commissioning, ensuring all the associated paperwork is completed to the highest standardPrepare technical submittals following detailed project approval processes i.e. PharmaceuticalHVAC design work including drawing updates and modificationsOrder parts and equipmentComplete health and safety documentation as requiredKey Candidate Requirements: Third Level Engineering Qualification, preferably Mechanical/Electrical or Building services5+ years of commercial project management and 2 years+ Data Centre related experienceProven ability to solve problems creativelyStrong familiarity with PP software tools, methodologies & best practicesExperience seeing projects through the full life cycleExcellent analytical skillsStrong interpersonal skills and extremely resourcefulProven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timelinesKey Knowledge: Microsoft Suite of products including Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPointKey Personal Skills & Attributes: Must have strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environmentResponsibility for follow-up on actions based on various team projectsExcellent organisation and time management skills in managing multiple tasks simultaneouslyAbility to perform and manage technically complex projects using independent judgment and personal initiativeBuild strong internal and external relationships using effective verbal and written communication skillsThis is a unique opportunity to join a market leading pioneer in their field in a progressive DC PM role where there is unrivalled access to world-class projects, attractive compensation and genuine prospects of further career advancement as the company expands further.
