Overview The main purpose of the Strategy and Transformation Data & Analytics Lead role is to drive data-driven decision-making and optimize project delivery performance (i.e. quality, cost, on-time delivery) by leveraging data to provide critical insights to senior leaders. These insights will empower PepsiCo to make informed, actionable decisions that enhance our project delivery capability and capacity. The S&T Data & Analytics Lead will be responsible for all aspects of data analytics from data sourcing, data modelling, data visualization and storytelling.
Responsibilities The key accountabilities for this position will include but are not limited to: Design, develop and implement analytic solutions that deliver, as much as possible, self-service analytics solutions leveraging available data sets (Clarity, Oracle Database, Azure etc.) and tools (Power BI, Tableau, Excel spreadsheets).Liaise with senior business leaders to determine user requirements, captured as user stories, to determine what insights and reports are required to be leveraged by PGCS Executive Leadership Team.Collaborate with our PGCS IT partners to translate business needs to actionable technical briefs against which solutions can be identified/developed.Collaborate with the PGCS IT team to design and implement a data model to appropriately leverage the data for enterprise project portfolio, using Oracle Datawarehouse.Develop and maintain executive dashboards to provide actionable insights to senior management on the performance of the enterprise project portfolio leveraging available data sets (Clarity PPM).Develop new dashboards for senior management, such as a financial dashboard, change roadmap and impacts by plant and function, prioritisation dashboard, risk dashboard.Analyse large datasets to identify trends, patterns and insights that can inform business decisions (i.e. projects delivered on time / on budget, largest projects by resource investment, view of consulting spend).Collaborate with the Global Clarity Tools team (PPM IT solution) on data available for dashboards, seeking to obtain all data fields required for PGCS.Build analytic capability within the Strategy and Transformation function, elevating capability of the team.Stay informed on global developments of project portfolio dashboards. Analyse dashboards used by Global S&T and other Sector teams to leverage advancements that will benefit PGCS.Identify and pilot tools and best practices from elsewhere in PepsiCo, and externally that will step-change our analytics agenda.Manage test and production environments for dashboard development. Engage with testers in a timely and efficient manner. Solicit feedback from users and enhance user experience.Ensure data quality and integrity across all data sources. Data accuracy is critical due to the critical nature of the projects being delivered. Identify data quality issues and highlight to S&T capability leads to action.Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies in data science and analytics.Maintain the PGCS Strategy & Transformation intranet site so the latest information and data is available to all associates.Create executive level presentation materials to share with senior business leaders. Participate in relevant meetings and steering committees where necessary to support discussion on data insights and findings.Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics or a related field.5+ years of experience in data analysis, data science, or a related role.Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with data modeling.Experience with statistical analysis and machine learning techniques.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and with global teams.Expert in PowerBI, Tableau or other data visualisation tooling.At PepsiCo, opportunity is for everyone.
