ATG are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Structural Engineer to join a dynamic team in Dublin. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and overseeing the construction of a wide range of building structures, including residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
You will work closely with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality, cost-effective, and sustainable structural solutions.
Key Responsibilities: Structural Design: Develop structural designs for new buildings, refurbishments, and extensions using various materials, such as concrete, steel, timber, and masonry, while ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards (Eurocodes, Irish building regulations).Analysis & Calculations: Perform detailed structural analysis and calculations using industry-standard software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Tekla, STAAD, or similar).Project Management: Manage multiple projects from concept to completion, including overseeing timelines, budgets, and quality control.Site Inspections: Conduct on-site inspections and assessments to ensure construction complies with the design specifications, safety regulations, and engineering principles.Client Liaison: Act as a key point of contact for clients, contractors, and consultants, providing technical advice and support throughout the project lifecycle.Sustainability Focus: Incorporate sustainable design practices to minimize environmental impact and enhance building performance.Compliance & Reporting: Prepare detailed reports, drawings, and technical documentation as required for planning permissions and regulatory compliance.Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering (or Civil Engineering with a focus on structures).A Master's degree would be advantageous.Chartered Engineer (CEng) status with Engineers Ireland or working towards chartership.Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in structural engineering design and project delivery.Proficient in using structural design software (AutoCAD, Revit, STAAD, Tekla, etc.).In-depth knowledge of Eurocodes, Irish Building Regulations, and other relevant standards.Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.Experience with BIM (Building Information Modelling) processes.Knowledge of sustainable design principles and green building standards.Familiarity with project management software.Experience in designing high-rise, commercial, or complex building structures.Salary: Competitive
